Coral Brown: This F***ing Lady!
In the world premiere of this one-woman play, the brilliant Genevieve Mooy (The Dish and Frontline) brings back to sparkling life Coral Browne, perhaps the most successful Aussie actor you’ve never heard of.
Coral Browne was a gifted, unconventional and sexually adventurous woman with a deliciously bawdy wit, who was as well known for her glamorous lifestyle as she was for her memorable stage and screen performances.
She had a string of famous lovers, including Paul Robeson and Maurice Chevalier, and spent the last years of her life married to Vincent Price. They don’t make them like this any more!
Written by Maureen Sherlock, known to Fringe-goers for her popular comedy shows Alzheimer’s the Musical: A Night to Remember and Ada & Elsie: Wacko-the –Diddle-oh! , this world premiere season is not to be missed.
“The world is quite a good deal less, since Coral Browne f***ed off.” Barry Humphries, at Coral’s memorial service.
